Rolling Resistance Measurements on Cycleways Using an Instrumented Bicycle

Snow and ice on roads often lead to increased rolling resistance that makes less accessible attractive for cyclists. Introducing a minimum requirement in winter maintenance of cycleways may increase the attractiveness cycling. To control level, an objective measurement method is needed. This article presents new measuring cyclists by using instrumented bicycle. The utilizes measurements pedaling power resistive forces from gravitation, acceleration, air drag estimate resistance.
